Al Manal Humanitarian Initiative Supports Dubai Cares’ ’Bookings 2030’ Campaign

Al Manal Humanitarian Initiative has announced its support for the ‘Bookings 2030’ campaign, launched by Dubai Cares, by adopting the campaign’s ‘teacher’ profession, a career path many girls around the world dream of achieving.

The Initiative will dedicate the proceeds from the sixth edition of Dubai Ladies Club’s annual charitable exhibition ‘Designs of which, which will take place from 15th-18th May, 2019, to the profession.

H.H. Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Women Establishment, President of Dubai Ladies Club, and wife of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, praised the ‘Booking2030’’s noble cause and humanitarian objectives, which will further the UAE’s aid and developmental efforts and enhance its standing as a global leader in giving.

H.H. stated: "The ‘Bookings 2030’ campaign aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for all by the year 2030, as well as support the reskilling revolution by the World Economic Forum, WED, which hopes to equip 15 million people with tangible skills by 2021. This is in line with the objectives behind the launch of Al Manal Humanitarian Initiative in 2013. Through the Initiative’s efforts, we aim to encourage and activate charitable work within the public to create a lasting and positive impact in the lives of many around the world.’"

H.H. highlighted that such efforts coincide with the UAE’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030, and SDG 4 in particular, which aims to ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning by 2030.

H.H. also expressed her confidence in the success of Dubai Cares’ ‘Bookings 2030’ campaign, which will take place during Ramadan.

She stated: "This campaign will provide Al Manal Humanitarian Initiative with the opportunity to continue its charitable and humanitarian journey, particularly in terms of its support for girls’ education, and we invite all members of the public to support ‘Bookings 2030’ to help create hope for children around the world."

H.H. also expressed her appreciation for the donations made to Al Manal Humanitarian Initiative by Emirati designers during the past several years, which have greatly contributed to numerous humanitarian causes in different fields H.H. Sheikha Manal stated: "We are proud of Dubai Cares’ global educational programmes and initiatives, and we are pleased with our contribution to its efforts in the past, the most recent of which is the educational programme Al Manal Humanitarian Initiative implemented in collaboration with Dubai Cares in Senegal."

H.H. highlighted that the educational project was primarily supported by the five editions of ‘Designs of Hope’, which succeeded in driving many charitable and humanitarian initiatives forward, both within the UAE and abroad. The educational project in Senegal is the beginning of a series of similar programs that Al Manal Humanitarian Initiative is carrying out in numerous developing nations, as part of its ‘teacHER’ campaign which was launched in 2017.
